Megan Grey grew up in Frankfort, IL, where she led a fairly normal childhood until a desire to prove she was smarter than her older brother inspired her to read The Lord of the Rings (a full account of which can be read here).
From then on, Megan became addicted to all things fantasy and science-fiction, and knew she wanted to contribute to this amazing genre as a writer herself someday.
She attended college at Brigham Young University, where she majored in English and married a handsome military man who shares her love of geek culture and medieval weaponry.
After attending the incredible Superstars Writing Seminar in 2011, Megan began actively pursuing her dream of being a fantasy author and hasn’t looked back since. Her fiction has since appeared in Fireside Magazine, Sibyl’s Scriptorium, and in One Horn to Rule Them All: A Purple Unicorn Anthology. She won first place in the adult division of the DragonComet Short Story Contest, and was also the grand prize winner in a fiction contest for the Animism: The Gods’ Lake television series. She has received several semi-finalist and honorable mention awards in the L. Ron Hubbard’s Writers of the Future contest.
She is currently working on various projects, both short story and novel-length, and released an anthology of her fantasy short stories, Tuesdays with Molakesh the Destroyer and Other Tales.
Megan lives in Utah with her husband, two fantastic kids, and two adorable but yappy little dogs.
